Nissan Car Club re branded to be ORRWA Inc

Nissan Car Club is proud to announce a historic moment for the club. At its recent 2018 AGM, the club voted on a name change to more accurately represent the clubs activities and revitalise the club. Nissan Car Club of WA will be undertaking a rebranding to now be known as Off Road Racing WA Incorporated.

The club wanted to retain a strong link to its heritage and as such, the new logo references the colours and WA shape of the old NCC logo, but in a new and more modern manner. As well as a change of names, 2018 has seen a changing of the guard with long standing president Dirk Van Geest making way for Daniel Smith as new club president. The club would like to thank Dirk, Hugh Piercy and the outgoing committee for their tireless work over the years and for endorsing the rebranding of the club in order to remain vibrant and to grow into the future.

With a fresh committee, a new look and name, ORRWA is looking forward to hosting the first event of the 2018 CAMS, Carnarvon Motel Western Australian Off Road Racing Championship. The GTurbo, Rod Hatter Memorial Perenjori 360 is set to kick of the 2018 season with a bang and the organising committee has taken on board feedback from previous years to ensure that this event continues to grow and improve for spectators and racers alike. 2018 will see the 5th running of the event at Perenjori and some small tweaks to the schedule sees it take another step forward. Scrutineering for all Perth and surrounding areas competitors will be held at event naming rights sponsors GTurbo in Balcatta on the Saturday before the event, allowing them a chance to showcase their vehicles and go through scrutineering in much more comfortable conditions. This also frees up the race weekend to allow competitors to do the bulk of their racing in the cooler parts of the day, leaving time to cool off at the pool at event headquarters during the warmer parts of the day

Off Road Racing WA Inc. looks forward to continuing to work together and strengthen its relationships with all of the Western Australian clubs to continue to grow the sport of off road racing and the WAORC in 2018 and long into the future
